I am very happy that so many young people in both Nepal and Denmark have shown such a remarkable interest in establishing and participating actively in this blog on democracy. It is a great opportunity for extending the longstanding cooperation between Denmark and Nepal.

On 10th April 2008, the people of Nepal elected a constituent assembly. I was happy to know that the election was held in a peaceful manner, and many, especially women voted.

Action – young people can be important agents for change

The politicians are responsible for creating the new constitution; however, all people in Nepal can and must make a contribution to the process of bringing democracy to Nepal.
