About Religion
ABOUT RELIGIONThere are three religions in my country namely the Christian, the Islamic and the Traditional religion; which mine is Christian. Religion is important in my family because it lets us know the mystery of God; it washes evil in soul, provides peace and harmony, and portrays the love of God our creator and mankind. Religion is very important to me as an individual; I said this because, Christianity washes evil things like stealing, being rude to people and other religion makes me understands that it is only when one portrays good moral features like being generous to people, being submissive and all other good things that will make one inherit the kingdom of God. Oh! How happy it is to be in church on Sunday to hear the word of God. Bartimeus as an instrumentalist is always seated at the back of drums or found with a guitar during church service on Sundays. The duration for church service is about four hours. We sing worship songs and praises to glorify the Lord after which we listen to the word of God; preach by the pastor, there are other activities like doing intersection prayers for sick people in the church, in the town, in the country and the world as a whole; also we pray for the government and peace to prevail in my country and the world. It is God’s pleasure that we relate cordially with people either from different ethnic group, religion or anything that differentiate one from another. Even though I’m not having any specific friend from other religion; I relate cordially to any non religion person who comes my way. The bible concludes these by telling as to love our neighbors as ourselves. We should not people see people who are different to us in one way or another as enemies. But it is a sad note to that there are conflicts in many of the world among people from different religious. There is peaceful existence with my religion and other religions because in Christ we are one.
It is my religion that I will marry from and other religion because I understands my religion a lot and it will be easy for partners from the same religion to understand themselves better. I love my religion.

How I spent my Easter Holiday
HOW I SPENT MY EASTER HOLIDAYSThe Easter season is a celebration to remember the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christians celebrate it to remember the kind of hardship Jesus went through just to save our lives.
On Good Friday, I went for church service with my family. We were enlightened on the hardships that Jesus went through. After church I went out along with my friends to see and feel how other people outside are celebrating the season. Out there, we saw how people were celebrating the season. We also visited friends to know how they were feeling and celebrating the Easter season as well. We left at 4.00pm and came back at 8.00pm. On that very day, it rained whilst we were in town.
On the next day, which was Saturday, I joined my friends and went for church service at 8.00 in the morning and closed at 2.00 in the afternoon. At church, we watched a film by the little “The Passion Of Christ”. When we were watching the film, we realized that Jesus went through a lot of difficulties. Moreover, the youth was advised by the head pastor to live the good way as Jesus did.
On Sunday, every member of my family put on white and went for church service. We all put on white because that very day was the day of resurrection. My friends and I became glad just because Jesus has risen and was seated at the right hand side of God.
On the following day, I invited my friends for a picnic celebration at a very beautiful park.
I really made a lot of friends during the Easter holidays.

ABOUT RELIGIONReligion is defined as a particular system of belief in a god or gods. My family and I are related to the Christian religion. We have interest in this particular type of religion because; we have a strong belief in Jesus Christ who is the founder of the Christian religion. We also belief in the Almighty God who created the universe. Moreover, we belief that our lives will be morally transformed since we are related to the Christian religion.
The importance of religion in my family is; my family gain wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
I also gain wisdom, knowledge and understanding since I am related to the Christian religion.
My church experience two service on every Sunday. The first service starts from 7:30am to 10:00am and the second service starts from 10:30am to 1:00pm.Also the church has children service for little children who ranges from three years to twelve years. The church also has a youth service. This service is designed particularly for teenagers. One can join the adult service only if that person is twenty years and above. The pastor and the leaders use English language when preaching or teaching the gospel while somebody translate from the English language to the local dialect for better understanding.
I don’t have any problem with any other religion;
- Their way of worship differs
- Their time of worship differs
- Their place of worship also differs.
Although I have friend from other religion but they are not much but I don’t want to marry from other religion. My point backing this reason is, the marriage rite of other religion is different.

ABOUT MY COUNTRY AND RELIGIONGhana is a democratic nation so it is considered as a peaceful country which is located at the western part of the African continent. Ghana share borders with Burkina Faso, Ivory Cote and Togo. At the southern part of Ghana is the Gulf Of Guinea. It has a population of about twenty million. There are three different types of religion. They are;
· Christian religion
· Islamic religion
· Traditional religion.
The political system in my country is good. This is because; there is a little misunderstanding between political leaders.
The 50th anniversary of independence held recently went on fruitfully. It meant a lot to me. Just because during the days of Gold Coast, my ancestors went through a lot of hardships.
Democracy by Abraham Lincoln is defined as the government of the people, by the people and for the people. The importance of democracy to me are;
1. The rights of the individuals are respected.
2. Democracy prevents dictatorship.
Young people above eighteen years who occupy a position in a particular job is allowed involve himself or her self into politics.
Democracy in school is between the authorities and the students. Every one is allowed to express his or her view on a particular topic during discussing after which the best solution is taken.
I feel I have an influence when am of age. That is when I am eighteen years. At this age, I can make decisions on my own. I will be allowed to occupy a position in any job opportunity at the age of eighteen only if I apply for that position.

On the Easter Monday, we did a picnic in the community and most of the people came to celebrate with us and they now know how great god in the most high is.
We played a lot of games during the picnic and some of the games are: Ampe, ludo, playing cards, football etc. and after that we possess through the community with bands and trumpet and wish we were there to witness this yourself and in the evening, we enjoyed some music from the singing band.

ABOUT THE EASTER CELEBRATION.
On the 6th of April 2007 was Friday and this day is called Good Friday and it’s believed
that Christ died for us on good Friday so I went for church service and everybody was in
black dresses which means we are morning the death of Christ our savior that day.
So on the third day which was on the 8th of April 2007 and the day was Sunday, that day
was the day Christ rose from the dead and became our savior so I went to church on that
Sunday and it was so amazing, we sang praises to praise the name of God for saving life
after which some were baptized into the church and some people also were confirmed
into the church to be really and truly Christians and I was also among those that were
to be really Christians.
And on Easter Monday which was a picnic day, there was a party organized by my
which we call get together where we all eat together and play some games together and
some of the games we played was foot ball march played between different churches,
Ludo game, ampey and all sorts of games some were also singing and dancing and some
were also entertaining others and the was very exciting that day so we all enjoyed the
Easter celebration after which I visited my friends and had fun.

What's Religion
WHAT’S RELIGION Religion, to my understanding, is a person’s believe and worship. It takes different forms –depending on what and who someone believes in. In Ghana, there are mainly three religions and they are the Islamic, Christianity&Traditiona. In my family, religion is a vital discipline that everybody respects. We go to church every Sunday unless you are not feeling fine.But my immediate grandpa didn’t go to church, he was a traditionalist. His religion helped him and our’s helping us in many ways, it keeps the family close to God and always we are happy. Religion makes me know that God created me and every thing dwelling in it. I also learnt to be at peace with people from other religions. On a Sunday during Christmas, I went to church and it was amazing. Church started around 8 am with praises and worship to the Lord. The Rev.Father then gave a prayer and three people came to read the bible after which a different person came to preach.We gave our offertory, then the Rev.prayed over it and he blessed he congregation, then we sung the closing hymnal and went home. I never had a problem with different religions. I also do not have problems with friends from other religions. Even in my own family, some of my aunties are married to MuslimsAnd there traditionalist whom I‘d been playing ball with. My best friend at school is a Muslim and many minor friends are from different religions. I’ll still accept friends from any kind of worship-That’s what the person believes in. If my future wife is really created with a bone from my rib and is any other religion, I will surely love her.About easter celebration

In my family, the importances of the Christianity religion to the family are as follows:
Christianity is important us because, we have learnt a lot from the holy bible and the neighbors around us etc are the importance of Christianity religion to the family.
Christianity religion is important to me because, God has change the entire life of family so far as I’m concern into Christianity and he has answered all my prayers and I hope he will continue to help me all the days of my life alongside my friends.
That Sunday was the day the congregation ended it one week fasting and prayers. At the church, we all sang songs of praise to the God almighty for granting us through the program and that was the day the congregation is have it annual harvest so we all became happy at the end of the service and the sermon which is given that day is very powerful indeed.
I really don’t have problems with other religions because, in Ghana we do understand one opinion and due to the democracy in the country, I don’t have problems with other religion and it helps me a lot.
I have friends from other religions in order to know more about ones religion compared to my religion and how we can coop with our problems or share ideas on the teachings in various in religions.
In order not to bring family conflict, I will not marry from different religion base on the rules governing the family. But I know when the time comes, the almighty will decide for me.

About ReligionReligion is people’s belief in the life of the spirit and usually in one or more God that is Islam, Christians and Traditional Religion. Its very important to everybody in my family to believe that religion is good for everyone to know the way of God, and also to fight for everlasting life after death. I am also fighting for everlasting kingdom after death, Religion is very important to me, to know what is good and bad, its help to do the will of God, believing the word of God. One day, I was invited to another church to worship with them, fortunately I was called to give second reading, I was surprised because that day happen to be my first time, after given the summon they call choristers to sing, followed by C Y O youth to come and display their culture dance after that the choristers sing the closing hymn we pray and share the grace that all for the day. Infect I don’t have problems with any other religion because we all worship the same God. Yes I both friend in both religion, because we are one people in Christ. Yes I can marriage from other different religion. As I said earlier on we that we are one people in church so due to that I can do.see religion
SEE RELIGION
There is a power that controls everything on earth and this super power everybody will want to appease. In doing this, religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islamic and a lot of religious institutions came up. The issue however, is not with the type but what they do and whether that common aim is achieved.
Anything good is good and bad is evil. Therefore if a religion solves the problems of humanity, then that religion is good. The whole of my family are Christians but will also compromise on good qualities of other religions where needed.
The type of religion for me does not really matter. However a religion must provides the platform to solving the problems of the world. This no religion has been able to satisfy. Even the best of them “Christianity” is yet to. Therefore if the things I do, do not hurt other people, then am on course.
A Sunday in the Presbyterian Church at Agogo is very simple. The congregation rise to the singing entry of Church choir and the pastor. We sing and dance to solemn and rhythmic hymns for same few minutes. The pastor gives his sermon for the day. Then we listen to announcement and later make offertory. The pastor says his last prayer and blessing to the congregation and closes for the day.
Problems of the world have partly been to religious differences. Even some wars have been and are partly influenced by religion. Conflicts are created in communities by people with the same belief but different way of worship. To avoid this I choose to share ideas with other believes and not to be blind on basic issues as far as religion is concern.
Marriage is not with religion but personality. I will therefore marry from any religious belief as far as I meet my choice and accomplished my aim.
about easter celrbration
I started my Easter celebration from the Thursday that Jesus was captured. On that Thursday, I went to church very early to observe the events.
It happened that our C.Y. O leader acted as Jesus and 12 men as the disciples, the Christian mothers also acted as the Jewish mothers.
In the evening, he was captured by the wicked roman soldiers and was beaten and later sent to the authorities for judgment. The next day he was crucified and died around 12pm.He was then taken into a room where the body was kept but he was not truly dead because it’s just done to remember the past.
The following Sunday, he resurrected and we jubilated and on the following Monday, we
Had some picnic and around evening I went out with some of my friends to play around
And have some little fun.

Some facts You need to know about Easter
One of the main festivals of Christians is Easter. It is celebrated to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity.Though this is a major carnival for Christians, people don’t normally make much noise about it. This is because its celebration is more saintly. It is however, of great magnitude to those who really understand their veneration.
I did my best to celebrate this years Easter to its full maximum. It started from the Friday and the Monday after the main Sunday was declared a holiday.
Church activities started on the Friday and I was also in church to mark that day, which most Christians believe was the day on which Jesus was crucified on the cross.
The title of the message on that day in my church was all about the crucifixion. It was the same at almost every church as reported by the media.
On the Saturday, we had no church service at our church. It is believed that Jesus waged a war against death and grave on that day so it is regarded as a Holy Saturday.
The Sunday was the day on which the main church service was held. It is with the motive that that was the day on which Jesus Christ resurrected from the grave after winning the battle against death and the grave.
The Monday was a holiday so I did nothing than to rest, after which business began again on the Tuesday.
Easter Celebration
On the Easter Friday, that was the Good Friday, I wake up from the bed early and did my house work quickly and went to church.The church started at 9: 00am and it was the catechist who gave us the word of God after that, we continue with the station of the cross that is how Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross our sins. After that the priest gave us the blessing and we all went home.
On the next day too, Jesus die on the cross for our sins. On that day, no one is allow to eat meat, on that evening, I then went to church again and that evening service is the born fire.
On the following day, Sunday when Jesus Christ has risen from the death. I wake up early in the morning and did my house work and left for church. The church service started at 9:00am and it was the church priest, who makes the sermon, and it was marvelous and everybody was happy that our savior has risen from death. He gave us the last blessing and we all went to our various houses.
On the following day, that is the picnic day. This picnic day is a joyful day for me and everybody because Jesus has risen from death. I did everything that I should suppose to do in the house early and went to the church premises. It started at 12:00pm and it was the catechist who gave us the word of God and it was about the risen of Jesus Christ. After that, it’s continuing with the culture display by the c y o and it was nice display. Then continue with a talk and the title is the wise saying that is how our grandfathers and mothers live a good life and how we too are living today.
After that, it continues with the sport and everybody took in it, it was so enjoyable day for everybody. All the programs came to an end at 5:00pm. After that, the priest blessed us and he continues with the saying HAPPY EASTER to everybody and we all departed to our various houses.
What a wonderful Easter for me.
